Rafael Monroe, one of Hartford’s older residents from 60 years ago, has now returned. Before leaving he was thought to be obscenely close to his sire, and some would say too close. Some happened to be right. His return brought bitter tears and memories to the abandoned Elsa Linden. Her childe, who disappeared with not so much as a letter or word, still exists. 
All these years she had thought her childe dead, lost to the brutal nights that claim so many kindred. 
Rafael was back now as if from the dead, and living by alias. For some reason he was reluctant to reach out to his sire, unable to let her know he had returned to the city of his second birth. He lived out the nights, keeping to himself and trying not to draw the attention of others from his kind. 

He would eventually begin to surface later in the year 2011 at the local Gatherings in Hartford. He became acquainted, and later friends, with Primogen James Norton. When asked about his art-form, Rafael replied, “I am a dancer”. Norton officially introduced him to the city powers shortly after, with Monroe keeping his lineage quiet for the time being. 
Months later, the same night he first met with Prince Anya, Rafael met one of his brood-mates, Amelia. Amelia pegged who he was from the descriptions her sire had given in a tale of her lost love. She had been embraced shortly after Rafael’s disappearance. It was safe to say that then, after being spotted by his new sister, mummy knew that Rafael had returned to Hartford. 

Time went by uneventfully until May 2012, when Elsa showed up at one of the gatherings, angry and tired of waiting for Rafael to return to her. While she was relieved to see him, “pleased” would be a hard word to further describe her emotions. She was pissed. Her scorn for his abandonment was hard not to wear on her sleeve, and she buried it deep to avoid an embarrassing display of public emotion among the kindred of the city. Later that evening he finally did catch an earful. 
Upon seeing her again he was overwhelmed with relief. It quelled his fear that she was in danger. Other emotions, much older ones stirred back in his soul as well. One look at her reminded him of everything that once was, a simpler time without the emptiness and numbness. He had memories of nights where anything was possible, and everything had meaning. His time away had been rough, and is something he never speaks of. 

While he was now reunited with his sire, he had been keeping tabs on her for months. He avoided getting too close and tipping her off to his presence. Rafael and the ones he loved were always being hunted by a powerful enemy, his twin brother, who has taken the name Knives. Knives is presumed to be a member of the Rebellion. His personal hobby is to destroy everything Rafael loves. It was only a month before Rafael came back to his sire that he put Knives in a box, delivering him personally to Prince Anya. 
On the same night that sire and childe were finally reunited, a painting had been stolen from Sebastian Han’s Elysium by anarchs. This violation of elysium was the straw that broke the camel’s back. After all Elsa had been Patron to the artist whose painting was stolen. Rafael would later catch an extra dose of her contempt, as she was already in a “mood”. 
After a private emotional exchange later that night between them, she was overwhelmed. Seeing the childe that she had thought was lost again after so very long stirred a whirlwind of emotion. As much as she loved him, she couldn’t just let him step back into her life like he never left. She couldn’t just open up again to be hurt by the one who abandoned her. A lady of 241 years old must keep some sort of composure and not lose her mind to emotion. After all, she is the Elder of Clan Toreador in the North East Region. 

Knives most successful attack on Rafael was now obvious, driving him away from his sire, and killing them both inside. A hat trick. Rafael Monroe, one of Hartford’s older residents from 60 years ago, has now returned. Before leaving he was thought to be obscenely close to his sire, and some would say too close. Some happened to be right. His return brought bitter tears and memories to the abandoned Elsa Linden. Her childe, who disappeared with not so much as a letter or word, still exists. 
All these years she had thought her childe dead, lost to the brutal nights that claim so many kindred. 
Rafael was back now as if from the dead, and living by alias. For some reason he was reluctant to reach out to his sire, unable to let her know he had returned to the city of his second birth. He lived out the nights, keeping to himself and trying not to draw the attention of others from his kind. 

He would eventually begin to surface later in the year 2011 at the local Gatherings in Hartford. He became acquainted, and later friends, with Primogen James Norton. When asked about his art-form, Rafael replied, “I am a dancer”. Norton officially introduced him to the city powers shortly after, with Monroe keeping his lineage quiet for the time being. 
Months later, the same night he first met with Prince Anya, Rafael met one of his brood-mates, Amelia. Amelia pegged who he was from the descriptions her sire had given in a tale of her lost love. She had been embraced shortly after Rafael’s disappearance. It was safe to say that then, after being spotted by his new sister, mummy knew that Rafael had returned to Hartford. 

Time went by uneventfully until May 2012, when Elsa showed up at one of the gatherings, angry and tired of waiting for Rafael to return to her. While she was relieved to see him, “pleased” would be a hard word to further describe her emotions. She was pissed. Her scorn for his abandonment was hard not to wear on her sleeve, and she buried it deep to avoid an embarrassing display of public emotion among the kindred of the city. Later that evening he finally did catch an earful. 
Upon seeing her again he was overwhelmed with relief. It quelled his fear that she was in danger. Other emotions, much older ones stirred back in his soul as well. One look at her reminded him of everything that once was, a simpler time without the emptiness and numbness. He had memories of nights where anything was possible, and everything had meaning. His time away had been rough, and is something he never speaks of.

Rafael and the ones he loved were always being hunted by a powerful enemy, his twin brother, who has taken the name Knives. Knives is presumed to be a member of the Rebellion. His personal hobby is to destroy everything Rafael loves. It was only a month before Rafael came back to his sire that he put Knives in a box, delivering him personally to Prince Anya. 
On the same night that sire and childe were finally reunited, a painting had been stolen from Sebastian Han’s Elysium by anarchs. This violation of elysium was the straw that broke the camel’s back. After all Elsa had been Patron to the artist whose painting was stolen. Rafael would later catch an extra dose of her contempt, as she was already in a “mood”.

Some happened to be right. His return bringing bitter tears and memory to the abandoned Elsa Linden. Her childe who disappeared with not so much as a letter, or word he still exists. 
All these years she thought her childe dead, lost to the brutal nights that claim so many kindred. 
Rafael was back now as if from the dead, and living by alias. For some reason reluctant to reach out to his sire, unable to let her know he returned to the city of his 2nd birth. He lived out the nights, keeping to himself, and trying not to draw the attention of others from his kind. 
He would begin to eventually begin surface later in the year 2011 at the local Gatherings in Hartford. He became acquainted, and friends with Primogen James Norton. When asked about his artform, Rafael replied “I am a dancer”. Officially introducing him to the city powers shortly after. Keeping word quiet about his lineage for the time being. 
Later in months after meeting with Prince Anya, the very same night he met one of his brood-mates for the first time Amelia. Amelia pegged who he was from the descriptions her sire gave, a tale of her lost love. Amelia was embraced shortly after Rafael’s disappearance. 
Safe to say now, after being spotted by his new sister, mummy knew Rafael returned to Hartford. 

Months went by until May 2012, Elsa shows up at one of the gatherings. Angry and tired of waiting for Rafael to return to her. While she was relieved to see him, pleased would be a hard word to further describe her emotion. She was pissed. Her scorn for his abandonment hard to not wear on her sleeve. One of Hartford’s older residents from 60 years ago returned, Rafael Monroe. Before he left he was obscenely close with his sire. His return bringing bitter memories to the abandoned Elsa Linden. Her childe disappeared with not so much as a letter, or word if he was alive still. 
All these years she thought her childe dead, lost to the brutal nights that claim so many. 

Rafael back now as if from the dead, living by alias. For some reason reluctant to reach out to his sire. Living out the nights and keeping to himself, trying not to draw the attention of the other vampires or kindred. He began surfacing in later 2011 at the local Gatherings in Hartford. He became acquainted, and friends with Primogen James Norton, who he told his artform was dancing. 
Officially introducing himself to the city powers shortly after, and meeting with Prince Anya on the same evening as his broodmate, Amelia. 
Amelia pegged who he was from the descriptions her sire gave, a tale of her lost love. Amelia was embraced shortly after Rafael’s disappearance, never having had the opportunity to meet her broodmate until now. 
If mummy didn’t know Rafael has returned, she knew now. 

Months went by until in May 2012, Elsa shows up at one of the gatherings. While pleased and relieved to see him, her scorn for his abandonment hard to not wear on her sleeve. Burying it deep to avoid embarrassing display of public emotion. Later that evening he finally did catch an earful. 
Upon first seeing her he was overwhelmed with relief to see she has been well, quelling the fear he had she was danger. Other emotions, much older ones stirring back in his soul as well. 
While he finally reunited with his sire on that night, he had kept tabs for months. He avoided getting too close, and tipping off his presence. He and the ones he loved were always being hunted by a powerful enemy. His Twin brother who has taken on the name Knives. Knives is presumed to be a member of the Rebellion. His personal hobby is to destroy everything Rafael loves. It was only a month before that he put Knives in a box, delivering him personally to her Grace, Prince Anya. 

Going back to the night sire and childe were finally reunited, a painting was stolen from Sebastian Han’s Elysium by anarchs. 
The violation of elysium was the straw that broke the camel’s back, after all she has been Patron to the artist whose painting was stolen. 
After a private emotional exchange that night between the Two, she was overwhelmed. Seeing her long and thought to be lost childe again after so very long. As much as she loved him she wouldn't just let him step back into her life that easy. She couldn’t just open herself up again to be potentially hurt by the one who abandoned her. A lady of 241 years old must keep some sort of composure, after all she is the Elder of Clan Toreador in the North East Region. One of Hartford’s older residents from 60 years ago returned, Rafael Monroe. Before he left he was obscenely close with his sire. His return bringing bitter memories to the abandoned Elsa Linden. Her childe disappeared with not so much as a letter, or word if he was alive still. 
All these years she thought her childe dead, lost to the brutal nights that claim so many. 

Rafael back now as if from the dead, living by alias. For some reason reluctant to reach out to his sire. Living out the nights to himself, trying not to draw the attention of the other vampire’s or kindred. He began surfacing in later 2011 at the local Gatherings in Hartford. He became acquainted, and friends with Primogen James Norton, who he told his artform was dancing. 
Officially introducing himself to the city powers shortly after, and Meeting Prince Anya on the same evening as his broodmate, Amelia. 
Amelia pegged who he was from the descriptions her sire gave, a tale of her lost love. Amelia was embraced shortly after Rafael’s disappearance, never having had the opportunity to meet her broodmate until now. 
If mummy didn’t know Rafael has returned, she knew now. 

Months went by until in May 2012, Elsa shows up at one of the gatherings. While pleased and relieved to see him, her scorn for his abandonment hard to not keep on her sleeve. Burying it deep to avoid embarrassing display of public emotion. Later that evening he finally did catch an earful. 
Upon first seeing her he was overwhelmed with relief to see she has been well, quelling the fear he had she was danger. Other emotions, much older ones stirring back in his soul as well. 
While he finally reunited with his sire on that night, he has for months been keeping tabs. He avoided getting too close, and tipping off his presence. He and the ones he loved were always being hunted by a powerful enemy. His Twin brother who has taken on the name Knives. Knives is presumed to be a member of the Rebellion. His personal hobby, Destroying everything Rafael loves. It was only a month before that he put Knives in a box, delivering him personally to her Grace, Anya. 

Going back to the night sire and childe were finally reunited, a painting was stolen from Sebastian Han’s Elysium by anarchs. 
The violation of elysium was the straw that broke the camel’s back, after all she has been Patron to the artist whose painting was stolen. 
After a private emotional exchange that night between the Two, she was overwhelmed. Seeing her long and thought to be lost childe again. As much as she loved him, she couldn’t just let him step back into her life that easy, she couldn’t just open herself up again to be potentially hurt. A lady of 241 years old must keep some sort of composure, after all she is the Elder of Clan Toreador in the Hartford Domain. 
After putting the you ancillae in place, she proceeded to trample his heart. Much as he did when she was abandoned. Unable to understand why he left her in such a manner. Refusing to believe he did what he would say as “Something that had to happen so he can ensure her safety” She excused herself from the gathering, leaving Rafael on his own and having to prove himself back into her graces. Her forgiveness would have a price he would later find. 
At a more recent gathering upon another private meeting, he learned the price he is going to have to pay for forgiveness.
